The November edition of Lusophone Africa Snapshot, produced by CMS Portugal's Lusophone Africa team, is now available for consultation.
This edition opens with an opinion piece by CMS Portugal partners Alberto Galhardo Simões, head of the Lusophone Africa team, and Patrick Dewerbe, head of the Tax practice area, on the event “Lusophone Economies - Opportunities and Diversity in Business”, organized by FAS Advogados (Brazil), in partnership with CMS Portugal, CMS LBR (Angola) and CGA (Mozambique), which they attended on 18 October in São Paulo (Brazil).
For CMS lawyers, this major event was interesting in confirming that there is interest in investing in Portuguese-speaking countries, to highlight the global expertise of CMS Law Firms, and to show the potential for collaboration in the economic, social, educational and cultural spheres between countries that share the Portuguese language.
This month, we ask you if you know that “there is a regulation that defines who can carry out the activity of internal and international road cargo transportation.”. And we answer with a targeted explanation.
As usual in the Snapshot, we highlight the main business and legal news from October in Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and São Tome and Principe.
