Cássia da Silva is an Associate of CMS LBR, CMS Portugal’s associated firm in Angola.
She has experience in Corporate M&A, Commercial Law, Compliance and Tax Law. She advises domestic and international clients on Corporate M&A and Governance, providing legal advice on the incorporation, reorganisation and management of companies, as well as on compliance with their respective legal and regulatory obligations.
She has extensive experience in Commercial Law, advising clients on the negotiation, drafting, review and management of various contractual instruments, including memoranda of understanding (MoUs), non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), addenda, protocols and other strategic legal documents. She also supports business negotiation processes, helping to mitigate risks and safeguard her clients’ interests.
In the field of Compliance, she provides legal advice on matters of regulatory compliance, the implementation of internal procedures and the identification of legal risks, supporting organisations in adopting practices aligned with the highest standards of integrity and corporate governance.
She is also a specialist in Tax Law, providing advice on tax litigation, the resolution of tax disputes and preventive tax planning. She supports clients on the identification and mitigation of tax risks, ensuring compliance with tax obligations and defending their interests before the relevant authorities.
